ITANAGAR, March 2:
The Arunachal Pradesh government has released the Pakke Declaration Implementation Report 2025, highlighting the progress made under the state's climate action roadmap aimed at strengthening environmental protection and sustainable development.

The Pakke Tiger Reserve–2047 Declaration on Climate Change Resilient and Responsive Arunachal Pradesh, adopted on November 13, 2021, outlines a comprehensive strategy to protect biodiversity, strengthen climate resilience and promote environmentally sustainable development across the state.

The declaration aligns with several global and national frameworks including India’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for 2030, the Paris Climate Agreement (2015), and the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (2030).

Under the initiative, the state government identified 75 climate-resilient strategies under five key ‘Panch-Dhara’ domains, focusing on coordinated action between government agencies and communities.

To implement these strategies, 410 action lines were created across 23 government departments, including environment, agriculture, horticulture, water supply, disaster management, tourism, urban development, transport, health, forestry, fisheries and hydropower.

According to the report:

  • 246 action lines have already been completed
  • 70 initiatives are currently under implementation
  • 94 action plans are in the initiation stage

Officials also stated that 68 of the 75 climate strategies have already been successfully achieved.

A total investment of approximately ₹802.6 crore has been mobilized for the initiative so far.

The government said the declaration represents a long-term roadmap aimed at protecting Arunachal Pradesh’s rich biodiversity while ensuring sustainable development and climate resilience for future generations.
